Turbo hoods are equipped with an efficient TurboSwing® grease filter. TurboSwing® is based on rotary motion and it mechanically separates fat particles – even as small as 2 μm.
TurboSwing® is very well suited for energy saving applications with heat recovery from kitchen and/or changing air flows. Filter efficiency remains very high even at low airflows.
Every hood module is equipped with a new generation of energy efficient LED light. Energy savings compared to fluorescent lamps up to 70%. The LED lightis integrated in the hood’s ceiling and it is hygienic and longlasting, lifeteime (COB) is more than 70 000h.
The light fixture has a cable which should be connected to a junction box with a cable lock. The connection cable must be positioned in such way that it is not exosed to mechanical or thermal stress.
IP 66 integrated LED lamp 4000 K, CRI>84 incl. 2 m HF-connection cable (Halogen Free, type 3×1,5 mm²)
FUNCTIONING PRINCIPLE
Supply air hood JSI-R-Turbo
Dirty air rises due to temperature differences against the ceiling of the hood.
Dirty air is exhausted immediately through the TurboSwing® units. Since TurboSwing’s® air intake is placed close to the ceiling, the warmest dirty air is always exhausted through it. Ventilation efficiency is of the highest rate because of the correct position of TurboSwing® with respect to the kitchen equipment. When the separator plate of TurboSwing® rotates, the grease and impurities are separated into the collecting vessel.
Direction air prevents leakage and directs steam and impurities towards TurboSwing®.
Clean air is exhausted from TurboSwing-greasefilter to ductwork.
Fresh and draught-free supply air is brought into the kitchen through the supply air columns placed on the outside walls of the supply air hood. This results in very effective ventilation in the kitchen.

Supply air blow alignment
Jeven supply air columns deliver a controlled and flexible distribution of the supply air. It is possible to wash the supply air columns in a dishwasher and the inside of the supply air chambers is easy to clean. These columns allow an individual adjustment of air patterns and air flows, which means a better indoor climate for the kitchen staff.
Horizontal alignment of the supply air The supply air blow direction can be aligned left or right by moving the air control plates inside the supply air units. The air control plates are marked in red in the pictures.
Vertical alignment of the supply air The supply air blow direction can be aligned up or down by turning the horizontal air control plates inside the supply air units. The air control plates are marked in red in the pictures.
Air blow directions alignment nearby supply air column Supply air blowing direction can be aligned by turning the rotatable blowing nozzles at the bottom of the supply air column. The rotatable nozzles are marked in red in the pictures.

SwingControl
SwingControl has been developed to indicate potential problems in the operation of the TurboSwing equipment. SwingControl produces an immediate alert upon failure. TurboSwing equipment failures can be identified locally or the building automation system may be notified.SwingControl monitors UV-Turbo motors rotation speed. Rotation speed can be selected between 750 and 1100 rpm. The unit gives an alarm if the Turbo’s motor rotation speed falls below 200 rpm.
The status information of the locally connected Turbo equipment is displayed on the LED screen of SwingControl monitoring unit. Read more about SwingControl
Ansul-Fire Suppression System is available to all Jevenin hoods.
Jeven flow application can be connected with your SwingControl monitoring unit to see the status information of Turbo units. Read more about Jeven Flow

The HPAC designer designates the types and locations of wired products in the plans.
The electrical designer designates to the plans, the location of the safety switch (compulsory), the necessary appliance sockets and the required wiring from the group switchboard or kitchen switch to the safety switch.
The Automation designer designs the TurboSwing runtimes to match the kitchen runtimes. TurboSwing greasefilters are not allowed to run when the fan is off.
Motor operation is controlled by power supply via the automation system or via the switch at the kitchen.
A safety switch is compulsory and it should be situated close to the hood to a visible place in the kitchen. TurboSwing’s are connected as own inputs to appliance for possible branches.
The safety switch, appliance sockets and the cables marked with the dotted line are not included in the Jeven delivery.
Wiring diagram
Products which need to be wired are placed to to HPAC plan. Safety switch, switchgear and wiring from panelboard or kitchen switch to safety switch should be placed to electrical plan.
In the automation plan, TurboSwing’s runtime is designed to match the runtime of the kitchen.
Electrician installs a mandatory safety switch to the appropriate location, installs and wires outlet box in the vicinity of the hood and wires junction boxes to TurboSwings.
