Air flow calculation – hoods

Project:
Calculation of the exhaust air flows, based on the of the connection power of the kitchen equipment.
Device
?
Kitchen appliances deliver heat and impurities in varying amounts. In designing exhaust air flows, the difference is taken into account with the Kitchen equipment factor Ke.
Kitchen equipment factor(Ke)
Connection power
?
The Load factor S is determined by the operating time of the kitchen appliance and the type of kitchen appliance. If the kitchen appliance is switched on for the entire cooking period, the Load factor is one (1).
Load factor(S)
?
The Exhaust flow rate Mp is obtained by multiplying the Kitchen equipment factor Ke by the Connection powerof the kitchen appliance P / kW and the Load factor S. The supply air flow is 80-90% of the total exhaust air flow.

Different kitchen equipments released impurities and excess heat in different amounts. When air ow rates are determined, kitchen
equipment factor Ke takes care of this. Load factor , S , is determined by the operation hours and operation level of the kitchen
equipment. If the equipment is fully powered all the time, load factor is (1,0).Supply air ow
Supply air ow is 80-90 % from total exit air ow.
