Top ventilation for top chefs

JCE filter unit

JCE is a cyclone filter which is developed for the extraction of grease from professional kitchens. The cyclone separator works by centrifugal and impact principle and is suitable for filtering grease particles from the air. Thanks to its product structure, the grease filter is fireproof.

Each filter has its own grease cup, which separates the grease. The separators are easy to remove and wash in the dishwasher. The JCE grease filter unit is equipped with a circular extract air connection as standard, as well as an airflow damper plate and a measuring tap.

FUNCTIONING PRINCIPLE

  1. Greasy air enters the JCE cyclonic grease filter.
  2. As the airflow rotates in the filter, the grease separates into the filter walls
    thanks to centrifugal force.
  3. Grease and dirt pour from the wall down to the grease cup.
  4. Clean air is exhausted into the ducts.

The number of JCE cyclone filters are chosen according to the amount of exhaust air.The nominal airflow is 60 l/s per cyclone filter ( pressure level 40-60 Pa).

Recommended exhaust airflow rate is max. 340 l/s per 315 mm spigot, meaning duct velocity of 4.4 m/s.

Pressure loss and sound data

Sound Power level, Lw

Sound power level Lw in each octave band is computed by adding the corresponding factor, Kok to the sound power level LpA.
Lw= LpA+Kok.

Sound attenuation, exhaust air

The average sound attenuation includes the end reflection of the connection spigot.
It is recommended to use “damper open” values when calculating sound attenuation.

The number of JCE cyclone filters is determined by the exhaust air flows used.
The recommended pressure drop is 30-70 Pa (JCE filters).

The number of JCE cyclone filters may vary from 2 to 8 per meter of exhaust air chamber.
The number of JCE cyclone filters is generally independent of the length of the hood.
